  • In-Patient Department (IPD): RARI Jammu Offers a well Equipped 15 bedded in-patient department providing Ayurvedic care. Our IPD include separate male and female wards, well trained staff.
  • Panchakarma:
 
The Regional Ayurveda Research Institute offers classical Panchakarma therapies, Kerala-style Panchakarma procedures, and a range of specialized Ayurvedic treatments. All therapies are administered by qualified physicians and trained therapists following standard clinical protocols for safety and effectiveness.

  • Snehapana (Internal Oleation)
Oral administration of medicated ghee or oil as preparation for purification therapies.
  • Vamana (Therapeutic Emesis)
A controlled procedure to expel excess Kapha through induced emesis.
  • Virechana (Therapeutic Purgation)
A cleansing therapy to eliminate excess Pitta using regulated purgation.
  • Basti (Medicated Enema Therapy)
Administration of herbal decoctions or medicated oils rectally to balance Vata and manage chronic conditions.
  • Nasya (Nasal Medication Therapy)
Instillation of medicated oils or extracts through the nasal passages for ailments related to the head and neck.
  • Raktamokshana (Bloodletting Therapy)
A specialized procedure performed for select conditions to remove vitiated blood safely.

  • Ksharsutra: This specialized unit offers Ayurvedic parasurgical treatment using Ksharsutra for Ano-rectal conditions like fistula, piles, and fissures, providing effective and minimally invasive care.
  • Marma chikitsa: Focused on the ancient science of Marma points, this OPD offers treatments targeting vital points to manage neuromuscular disorders, joint pains, paralysis, and related conditions using manual therapy and herbal applications.
  • Pharmacovigilance Section: RARI Jammu is designated as Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre (PPvC) for Ayurveda under Ayush Oushadhi Gunvatta Evam Uttpadan Samvardhan Yojana (AUGOSY) Scheme. This department is focused on Documentation, Monitoring and Reporting the ADRs of ASU&H drugs, Reporting the misleading advertisements to the State Licensing Authority & Intermediary Pharmacovigilance Centre and conducting Awareness programs under the guidance of Intermediary Pharmacovigilance Centre and National Pharmacovigilance Centre.   • Medicinal Plant Research
 
RARI, Jammu has dedicated Pharmacognosy and Botany Section. It undertakes Research on identification and authentication of raw plant drugs. It includes Taxonomic, Macroscopic – Microscopic examination and Physico-chemical analysis for the purpose of identification and characterization of plant materials expected to be included in the prescribed standards of plant raw drugs. This section is well equipped with latest equipments to carryout Pharmacognostic and Botanical studies.
 It has also an internationally recognized Herbarium indexed in New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) with Acronym ‘RJH’. Herbarium has a collection of about 300 well maintained plant specimens of this region preserved for scientific study .It is also associated with a Raw Drug Museum with about 220 accessioned samples and a small herbal garden where more than 90 species of medicinal plants used in Ayurveda are maintained. Institute has ongoing research projects on Pharmacognosy and Medico Ethno Botanical Survey.
